Utah Jazz won 132-116 against the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2023-2024 NBA regular season at the Milwaukee Pieserv Forum on the 9th (Korea Standard Time).
Utah was cruising smoothly with seven wins and three losses in the last 10 games. However, Milwaukee, ranking second in the Eastern Conference, was absent due to personal reasons. One of the two punches, Damien Lillard, was absent, but Greek monster Yannis Antetokounmpo was in full swing. In addition, it was an away game, which put a lot of pressure on the team.
Utah players, however, were not intimidated at all. Utah took a 31-point lead by scoring 77 points in the first half alone. It shook briefly in the third quarter, but after reorganizing in the fourth quarter, it finished the game with a 16-point lead.
Ace Lowry Makanen did his part with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Sixman Jordan Clarkson had 21 points and six assists, while Keyonte George, John Collins, and Colin Sexton each had 19 points. Lee's performance is also important. He is Utah point guard Chris Dunn.
Dunn threw two field throws and scored just five points. However, he led Utah's offense by posting as many as 13 assists. He also showed off his versatility by adding four rebounds and two blocks.
Utah coach Will Hardy expressed his satisfaction with Dunn in an interview after the game.
"Kris Dunn has the power to stabilize our team. He's doing his part on the offensive side, talking to me during the game and boosting the organization of the team," Hardy said.
Utah was disappointed by his up-and-down performance early this season. However, Dunn's playing time has increased recently, adding to Utah's stability. Dunn has been showing off his presence with his strong defense and ability to manage games.
"We're going to use Dunn as a point guard and offensive setting specialist to lead the starting lineup. He did an amazing job, living up to expectations. The 13 assists we had tonight were really impressive," Hardy said.
